Styrotex as

Buoyancy and Marine Applications

In the construction of marinas or many other marine applications, the buoyancy of EPS can support more weight than alternative materials.

A cubic metre of EPS with a density of only 15 kg/m3 has a buoyancy of approximately 950 kg!

Styrotex EPS consists of approximately 98% air and is highly water and moisture-resistant, the buoyancy factor of Styrotex EPS weight for weight is unsurpassed.

Due to its great buoyancy, is commonly used for buoys, float docks and platforms.
